Function:

I am a visual artist and woodworker creating functional and character filled furniture and accessories using the many techniques I have accumulated over the years. I received my BFA in 1998 and have since done fine art, finish carpentry, cabinet installation, and faux finishing. I have been doing original furniture design and custom woodwork since 2010.
My goal and purpose is to combine these elements and skills to make functional beautiful furniture that is inviting as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Live Edge Myrtle Indoor Bike Racks. Sold.

Working on an order for these bike racks, rethought my design and clearances and tried as best I could to emulate the proportions of a Samurai sword rack. Bow to your bike before you remove it!

This myrtle is a pretty rare hardwood that only grows in southern Oregon and bits of NorCal. The grain goes from straight to insanely ripply like burly maple, both of these racks are fairly swoopy, but not rippled, a few of the others I made had some mad note fractal stuff goin' on.
