This table top is a really intense design, squared, capped. squared; repeat. The steel legs on this kind of piece accentuate the design aspect. Simple, to the point, but artistically pleasing.

Custom Order Driftwood Hemlock Super Pull Knife Rack.
These Super Pull Racks are made utilizing a premade magnetic toolbar assembly that is made right here in Portland. I create a channel for it to lie in, then cover the ends with a little tenon block, then create a veneer than covers the magnets but leaves the steel contact edge exposed. The result is a really strong pull in a beautiful piece of wood. This one went off to Tuscon yesterday, is 22 inches long and made from a piece of driftwood hemlock.

I created this piece as a copy of one I did last year, this one is heading to a B&B in Minneapolis that was designed by John Scott Bradstreet, who brought this technique to America from Japan. This bench will be in the John Scott Bradstreet Suite!
