Function:

I am a visual artist and woodworker creating functional and character filled furniture and accessories using the many techniques I have accumulated over the years. I received my BFA in 1998 and have since done fine art, finish carpentry, cabinet installation, and faux finishing. I have been doing original furniture design and custom woodwork since 2010.
My goal and purpose is to combine these elements and skills to make functional beautiful furniture that is inviting as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Driftwood Plank Salvage.

Found five of these true 2x12 spruce planks last week, went back for the first one today. Over 16 feet long, still damp. I cut it approximately in half and hiked it to the Volvo in 2 goes. Nice day for it.

Reclaimed Spruce Dovetail Bench. $225.00

This technique is still fairly new to me, but I am starting to get the hang of it, the dovetail is a time consuming joint to cut custom with traditional hand tools, but the strength of the resulting glued up joint is undeniable. A piece like this will last for generations if well cared for. Sealed with indoor oil based polyurethane. 46.5x12x18" high.
